Inspired by a great spread in W Magazine and current events: One of the influences on fall fashion is a victorian governess. I first saw it in the fall RTW collection of Prada. There was one great coat that just made me think of a young hip Jane Eyre. You can find the victorian prim and proper look in each collection. Here are a few great examples along with some movie looks.

Governess...you mean NANNY.
Everyone is obsessed with nannies!
I'm digging the nanny look!
Reminds me of Mary Poppins, which in turn reminds me of being practically perfect in every way. I love that trend. Some sick tweens are going to use this as an excuse to push their accessory dogs around in prams, though!
Little kernel: Loved the website! Added to my favorites at work.
Tania: Governess sounds so much better. I should have included a picture of Mary Poppins,Julie Andrews and the cover of the book The Nanny Diaries.
Mel: I loved Mary poppins too. I wanted her carpet bag as a child.
